It will be a busy Wednesday at Tim Hortons Field in Hamilton. The Tiger-Cats are expected on the field for their first practice at 10:30 a.m at the new stadium.Construction crews this week have continued to work around the clock to finish the $145 million dollar project.The team is expected to get dressed at their main headquarters on Jarvis street and be bussed into the stadium.The team’s locker rooms, washrooms and concession stands are still under construction.Some reports say the Tim Hortons Field may only be able to accommodate 18,000 fans for Monday’s game against the Toronto Argonauts, nearly 5000 seats fewer than originally planned.The stadium was originally scheduled to open in July, but has been plagued with delays.The Tiger-Cats played their three homes at McMaster University this season. The University is not an option for Monday’s game because the McMaster Marauder’s are hosting their first game of the season.In an email to season ticket holders yesterday, the team outlined two contingency plans for Monday’s Labour Day Classic.The first is to play the game on Tuesday at the new stadium or if Tim Hortons Field still isn’t ready they will play the game Tuesday evening at the Rogers Centre in Toronto.
