The Troy University Guitar Ensemble will also be featured in this program.Dr. Diane Orlofsky, frequency director, said the title, “Beginnings,” is significant in that 10 of the 12 frequency vocalists are new to the group this year. Sponsored Content Orlofsky said Tuesday night’s program will include a wide range of jazz styles, from solo standards such as “Someone to Watch Over Me,” to a cappella jazz settings like “When I Fall in Love” to accompanied contemporary pieces arranged in a fresh jazz style.The Troy University Guitar Ensemble will be featured several times playing original jazz-influence compositions written by ensemble member, Tucker McKee.“I recently heard the world premiere of one of Tucker’s compositions and I was captivated by its jazz infusions and overall compositional structure and content,” Orlofsky said. “I knew I had to include these compositions in the program.”The frequency concert Tuesday night is free and open to the public. Orlofsky said the Troy and Pike County communities are encouraged to come hear this group of dedicated young musicians.
