A message to my fellow Bayonne veterans

first_imgTo the Editor:I want like to advise my fellow veterans in Bayonne to ask their tax advisors if they are entitled to a personal deduction on their New Jersey state taxes for 2017. This has not been well publicized, and many of you may not be aware of this possible benefit.Check with your tax advisor about eligibility. I believe you must have been honorably discharged and provide a copy of your DD-214. Act quickly, as it takes time to process any requests. The web site is http://www.state.nj.us/treasury/taxation/military/vetexemption.shtmlPlease help spread the word.
