Former FSU QB Deondre Francois Has Entered Transfer Portal

Cox/Getty Images)Following the news that Florida State quarterback Deondre Francois has been dismissed from the team, it looks like Francois still intends to play in 2019.According to college football insider Brett McMurphy, Francois has entered the NCAA transfer portal with the intention of moving to another school.Francois was kicked off the team shortly after a video emerged that alleged he got into a domestic dispute with a woman. He threw for 3,358 yards and 20 touchdowns, while completing 58.8-percent of his passes. On the ground, he added another 198 yards and five touchdowns.It will be interesting to see if any sort of a market emerges for Francois’ services though.Even if one were to remove the circumstances that led to his dismissal from FSU, his play on the field might not be good enough to make top programs want to pounce on him.Since his breakout season in 2016, it seems that Francois has regressed to an extent.In 2018, Francois threw for 2,731 yards and 15 touchdowns while completing 57.3-percent of his passes. The Seminoles went 5-6 with him as a starter and finished 5-7, missing out on a bowl game for the first time since 1981.last_img read more
